Funnels!

Yesterday we learned about funnels! We made our own and practiced pouring quinoa from a bowl into a water bottle. We figured out what made the quinoa fall faster by cutting the bottom of the funnel into a bigger hole. 

Brand New!

A new year and a new start. Here is really just a simple way for our family to track our memories this year! As we were reflecting on 2014, I realized we didn't have an easy way to look back over the year! So... Here it is! Day 1! 

Favorite parts of the day:

Today was COLD!! Like snowing on the mountains cold!!! :) 

Charlee and Jovee agree "We got to spend time with our family!" Today was the "better-late-than-never-Lazear-Christmas!" Uncle Corky, Uncle Charles, Brittany, Scott, and Ben were all in town! It's never for sure that we will all be together for the holidays but when we are it is so good to my soul. 

We had a salsa competition (trust me, we all won) and ate lots of good Mexican food. We also played a fun game I can't remember the name of and colored together. Who knows when we will all get to be together again. 

I also enjoyed our late morning of sleeping in, cruising around a practically empty Safeway for salsa stuff, and sipping on a REALLY good toffee nut latte. 

 

We finished our day at home, watching the symphony with some ballet on PBS. Jovee referred to the male dancer as the husband, which I thought was so sweet. 

Lucia was so sweet and smily with her daddy as he got her ready for bed. 

My heart is full. 

2014 was an EXTREMELY eventful year! 

... My mom was very close the passing away and spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital... We welcomed Lucia Sparrow into the world and I was blessed to spend 3 months home... Ricky started his own business... I had red, brown, pink, purple, and black hair (LOL!) 

I wonder what 2015 has in store!! We will continue homeschooling the girls, (which Ricky has taken over) attending New City Church, and pressing forward for where we believe God is directing us!
